How to Reach Camp Catskills
We recommend that you DO NOT follow standard GPS directions from Google or MapQuest as they will send you through an underpass with a max height of 12’7″. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND you follow the directions below, instead:
Traveling From the North
Take NYS Thruway- Exit 21B
Turn left exiting NYS thruway in West Coxsackie, NY 12192
Head southwest on Rte. 9W S for 7.4 mi
GPS will advise you to turn right on county route 49 sooner .... ignore and continue straight on 9W for 2 more miles.
Turn right onto Schoharie Turnpike and continue for 1.2 mi.
Camp Catskills RV Park will be on your right.
11 minutes from exit to Campground
Traveling From the South
Take the NYS Thruway Exit 21
Turn LEFTand continue for 0.6 miles.
(not right, as GPS may suggest)
Turn left onto the ramp towards NY-23E Hudson and continue for 0.2 miles.
Merge onto NY-23 E heading east.
Turn left onto US-9W N towards Albany.
Stay on this road for 4.5 miles.
Turn left onto Schoharie Turnpike and continue for 1.2 miles.
Camp Catskills RV Park will be on your right.
